Major Home Security was founded by second-generation members of the Major family, bringing a family background in the security business to a simpler way of choosing and installing home security.
Our roots are in Cunningham Security, which has served regional customers throughout New England since 1983. That history informs our approach: help people understand their options, choose dependable equipment and get the support they need to use it confidently.
With Major Home Security, we’re bringing that approach to homeowners through DIY equipment, professional monitoring and practical guidance. Availability depends on your location and service eligibility. You choose and install your system, with a clear path to setup, testing and monitoring activation.

Equipment you choose
Start with the panel, then select sensors for the openings and spaces that matter to you. Optional devices remain optional.
Monitoring you understand
Standard monitoring costs $35 monthly or $360 prepaid annually, including Alarm.com Pro Video for up to four compatible cameras and motion- and event-triggered clips. Additional compatible cameras are $2 per month each with either option. Compatible smoke, CO, water and freeze monitoring is included where service is available.

Ask us about smart-lock, lighting and thermostat integration. Compatible equipment and an upgraded service plan are required; additional charges apply.
