A small sensor for problems that start quietly
The DSC PGP9986 PowerG+ Water Tile combines water-leak and low-temperature detection in a compact wireless device. It reports to a compatible alarm panel and includes a local audible water alert, helping make a detected leak harder to miss.
Consider suitable locations near plumbing or appliances where water should not normally be present. The right position is the one where a developing leak can reach the sensor’s detection points—not simply the nearest convenient shelf.

Choose placement for the risk you want to watch
The tile uses two CR2450 lithium batteries, with a manufacturer estimate of five years under typical use. Actual life depends on use and conditions; low-battery reporting supports maintenance.
Follow the manufacturer’s positioning and environmental instructions. A single tile detects water at its sensing location; it cannot guarantee detection of every leak in a room or throughout a building. Accessory probes and cables may suit a particular installation and are sold separately.
Low-temperature detection helps identify a condition associated with freeze risk. It is not a guarantee that every pipe is safe, and a room sensor cannot measure the temperature of every concealed pipe. Consider a dedicated temperature sensor if your application calls for different monitoring.

Questions before you buy
Will this shut off the water?
The tile is a detector. Automatic shutoff would require additional compatible equipment and an appropriate service/configuration. It is not included with this sensor.
Is there an extra monthly charge for water or freeze monitoring?
Compatible water and freeze monitoring is included with Major Home Security’s standard monitoring plan. The hardware is purchased separately and the system must be configured, tested and activated.
Can I receive an alert when I’m away?
Supported remote alerts depend on the compatible panel, active service and notification configuration. The tile does not connect directly to your phone as a standalone cellular device.
Are the external probe and cable included?
Optional accessory probes and sensing cables are separate purchases. Tell us about the location if you need help choosing the right arrangement.
