Know when a protected door or window opens
The DSC PGP9303 is a slim magnetic contact for a compatible PowerG alarm system. A sensor and magnet monitor an individual opening, giving the panel a clear event when that opening is moved away from its closed position.
It is a practical starting point for front, back and basement entry doors, and for suitable windows you choose to protect. The same model serves door and window applications; buy the quantity your opening list calls for.

Check the opening before ordering
Look at the frame, moving panel and mounting surfaces. The sensor and magnet need the alignment and spacing specified in the installation instructions; a large offset, an unusual frame or unsuitable mounting material can change the installation approach.
One contact monitors its own opening. It does not listen for breaking glass, detect movement across a room or automatically protect every sash of a multi-part window. Tell us about overhead garage doors or unusual applications before choosing a device.

Using it with IQ Panel 5
Qolsys lists the PGP9303 in the North American compatible-equipment table for IQ Panel 5. It can be part of a new Major Home Security IQ Panel 5 system, with enrollment, programming and testing completed for your installation. For another control panel, check its exact model and current software before ordering.
Questions before you buy
Is this a motion detector?
No. It detects the protected door or window opening. A motion detector performs a different job inside an appropriate area.
Do I need different products for doors and windows?
Not for suitable applications using this model. PGP9303 is a door/window contact; the correct installation and quantity depend on the openings.
Will it connect directly to my Wi-Fi?
No. It communicates with a compatible alarm panel. Remote notifications come through the configured system and an active supporting service plan.
Can I use it on an older alarm?
The manufacturer describes legacy PowerG fallback support, but exact panel and firmware compatibility still matters. Send us your panel model before buying for an existing system.
